In this session, we leverage tools such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIM, and other Azure services to construct a backend for a straightforward app. The backend is largely created without coding (cheers for Logic Apps!), and its scalability is enhanced by serverless capabilities. During the three-hour session, participants are taken through the process of implementing API authentication, protecting certain API sections for specific users, and the overall setup of a backend like this.<\/p>\n

About the speaker<\/strong><\/p>\n

Currently, he works as a Cloud Consultant for \u201cOGD ict-diensten\u201d (Netherlands) where he consults different companies about making better use of cloud techniques and transforming their application to the cloud. Before that, he worked as a (lead) SysOps engineer for a couple of years. During this time, he focused a lot on automating work to free up resources and optimize the work to make sure the customers could be served with a small team of dedicated people. He has experience in various roles like research, development, requirements engineering, system architecture, and has lead development teams and project management. He is also an expert in eXtreme Programming like TDD, BDD, Pair Programming, Automated deployment, and Agile Testing.
